Dublin Maker A Free Family Friendly Festival in Celebration of Making. Dublin Maker is returning Summer 2025! - August 30th and 31st to Leopardstown Racecourse

Dublin Maker is a family friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.

The festival event itself is a culmination of ‘hack, craft and make’ activities, which begin with the launch of the open call in May 2025 and build up throughout the year.

The main festival event is in the last weekend of August 2025. Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors, and commercial exhibitors. They are of all ages and backgrounds, coming from all over Ireland and beyond. Maker Ireland’s mission is to entertain, inform and connect the makers of Ireland, while inspiring the next generation of Ireland’s makers and inventors.

They wrote about their visit to the festival and the brilliant mix of creativity, curiosity and hands‑on making. You can read it on page 33 of their October issue: https://www.docdroid.com/J9I2P7H/hrivol03102026-pdf

One of the best parts of Dublin Maker is what happens after the festival.

In the last few weeks we have visited some of our makers in their own workspaces ( - spot the Dublin Maker signage!) Others we see at different events around the country - like at the National Ploughing Championships!

Its a great chance to hear stories from Dublin Maker 2026, and start planning for 2027!
