Without you guys, I've got no one to record... However, during those bleak times, I was able to cocoon myself away with some microphones and record stuff for myself... Guitar restoration, Taylor 214 from 2004. This guitar has been used in so many sessions, it’s a guitar a lot of you have heard in songs recorded here. Songs on Spotify, YouTube even radio! It’s been with me to 7 countries. It has kept me sane and happy through dark times, and been the facilitator of many jam sessions! Needless to say it’s a really important part of me!

Here’s some photos so far of the progress. Originally this guitar was satin. When I was 19 I got some polish stuff and attempted to gloss it. Bad idea! So this is me bringing the guitar to the glory I always thought she’d have!

Step by step... remove bad polish layer back to original satin. Wet sanding from 800 grit to 12000 grit. Polish polish polish... buff buff buff. Polish buff polish buff on repeat! Going to get a nice ebony pickguard made and glossed, and trim it off with gold Taylor tuners!

End date: Christmas Day!
