The Irish Institute of Music and Song is a campus located in North Dublin, Balbriggan that hosts music lessons, education, live events, retreats and summer school. The IIMS is a world-facing music organisation that provides unique music experiences and programmes to individuals, communities and businesses worldwide. The historic campus is located just 20 minutes’ drive from Dublin airport or 4 min

utes walk from the train station and sandy beaches of Balbriggan. The campus includes historic buildings dating from the 1750s, the luxury Bedford accommodation and La-La Café & Restaurant, and state-of-the-art music facilities including The Lark, a 400 seat concert hall for local and international performing ensembles.

The Irish Institute of Music & Song team are very sad to have heard of the sudden passing of Glen Hansard. As one of Ireland's most well-respected singer/songwriters with a rare Oscar-winning success behind him and as frontman of The Frames, who inspired an entire generation of Irish bands and solo artists, this is a devastating loss for the close community of Irish artists both in Ireland and around the world.

The Irish Institute of Music & Song team offers their sincere condolences to Glen's family and friends during this time.
