I love these gourds but I found it difficult to source them in Ireland so I got these three from Turkey ( no pun intended). There are so many ideas out there using gourds in crafting projects. I’ve started to make a chicken, work in progress, looking forward to the finished item. The beak/comb are currently drying. Tomorrow I will add some dangly legs. So much fun … 💕🐔

This clock was a constant in our family home. I decided to keep and do something with it. Firstly, the hands were removed. Declan kindly screwed three IKEA table legs to it and a little planter to keep legs intact. I painted the legs and planter. It’s now part of our Den, close to Herself. Could also be used as a little coffee stand. Love it!! ❤️ 🌹

Two of these lovely tea-chests were in our home when we moved in ( twelve years next year) so time for an up-cycle. Outside in the sun, gave this one a good wash and put on the first coat of silver paint. 🎨 No doubt will need about 3-4 coats. I will paint the borders and iron-mongery in a different colour, depending where it goes in our home. Work in progress. ❤️

This was a lovely little project to work on … 🪑 This was Mam’s favourite part of the crafts I do. I’ve missed doing this. 🌹

This little gem was bought 25 years for a cousin of Claire’s. It was then passed on to Claire’s daughter Daisy 9 years ago and now has been passed onto Leon who is now 2 years old. Here’s to another 25 years in its rightful place.

I striped off the old material and sanded down the wood back to the original. Applied 4 coats of wood stain (sanded inbetween each coat when dry) and covered in this lovely brown diamond pattern faux leather. Some cute upholstery studs on the back.

My Mam had a great eye for colour and design. These were the colours on her hall, stairs and landing which were done a few years ago. It made the entrance to her home look like a hotel. We all loved it 🌹… I’ve kept some of the wallpapers and framed to keep in our own home. Lovely memories of our home … ❤️🌹
