That's a Wrap! 💫

This year, Dublin Dance Festival created its own rhythm across the city – moving through theatres, studios, streets, parks, foyers and dance floors. We shared extraordinary performances, danced together, met old friends and new faces, and filled Dublin with energy, curiosity and movement.

Thank you to every artist, audience member, participant, volunteer, partner and supporter who helped make DDF 2026 such a memorable celebration. Here's to the moments we'll be talking about for a long time to come.

Who decides what a dancing body should look like?

With humour and vulnerability, Silvia Gribaudi () explores fragility, failure and the joy of the ageing body.
In Suspended Chorus, she takes to the stage alone but never without others. Audiences are invited in, becoming part of a shifting, suspended chorus.

“What I hope is not that the audience understands the references, but that they feel a connection – to the energy on stage, to each other, and perhaps to something within themselves. If the piece can create even a brief moment of togetherness, then it has already done what it needed to do.”

Opening today, My Fierce Ignorant Step makes its Irish premiere as  brings ten dancers to the Abbey Stage in a work that moves between memory and momentum, celebrating the power of connection and the joy of being alive.
