Declan Wildes is a tenor from Wexford who last performed with Ascolta in October 2019. He has sung with a number of ensembles over the years, including the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin, where he first met many past and present members of Ascolta. He now sings with LORICA and is thoroughly enjoying being back performing in Ireland after some years overseas.
💙 This is Declan's second time singing with Ascolta and we're delighted to have him back after so many years!
🎶 The song he is most looking forward to singing this summer is Cantate Domino by Laura Sheils.

Soprano Lea is originally from Germany but has been living in Ireland for nearly 12 years. She was a member of Maynooth University Chamber Choir, winning the prestigious Choir of the World trophy in 2015, has toured internationally with the vocal ensemble Anúna and has been a member of various other choirs, including the early music ensemble Peregryne, Cór Fingal and Vocanta.
💙This is Lea's fourth time singing with Ascolta
🎶 The piece she's most looking forward to singing this summer is Killeagh, arranged by Eoin Conway... "My favourite piece is Killeagh. Although it’s about a small Irish town and community, its simplicity gives it a universal resonance and captures that feeling of pride in - and love for - a place that is part of who you are. Also my husband arranged this version…so I’m being completely objective here, obviously."
