"Rather than treating the model as a passive subject, the project foregrounds the dynamic exchange between artist and sitter. Each collaboration becomes a negotiation of authorship - sometimes the model shapes the narrative, sometimes the artist directs, and often the work emerges from the tension between the two.
"At its core, โCollaborateโ is also a personal exploration. As an addict in recovery, Ray is learning to reconnect with intimacy, desire, and the q***r community. These sessions become a space of healing, helping to rebuild trust, reclaim sexuality, and form meaningful connections with other gay men."
