With St Patrick’s Festival just around the corner, there’s a growing sense of anticipation around CHQ. And few things bring people together quite like food.

Our newest on-site café, , is marking the season with a special monthly dish inspired by traditional Irish cooking.

The feature centres on bacún agus cabáiste, a meal that evokes memories of family dinners for many Irish visitors, while offering those from further afield a taste of a classic Irish table.

It’s a fitting choice at a time when the city is reflecting on heritage and the idea of roots, with simple, familiar ingredients that have long been part of Irish kitchens.

The special will be available at Tír within CHQ from Wednesday 4th March. Be sure to try it before it’s gone! 🥪

We are very excited to announce the newest vendor to chq is none other than from Niall Sabongi.

Open Monday to Friday, the food truck will be whipping up delicious lunch-time favourites, including hake kievs, smoked salmon bagels, fillet o fish, and perhaps most exciting of all. the elusive, premium lobster roll, right here in the city. 🦞🥪

And if you’re visiting for our St Patrick’s activity across the weekend of the 14th and 15th March, you will also find them open especially for the festivities.

Our tummies are rumbling just thinking about it. Drop over to chq and try it out for yourself.

We were delighted to officially welcome to the chq family last Wednesday as they opened their second location in our iconic building.

Focused on seasonal Irish produce and sustainability initiatives, they made complete sense to have on the premises, and the ceapairí themselves are fresh, hefty, and bursting with flavour.

They have sold out every day so far, so be sure to get down early if you’re hoping to nab a sambo for lunch - they open Monday to Friday from 11:30am 🥪

The performance is raising vital funds in aid of the Swan Youth Centre, so it’s also in honour of a worthy cause.

Last week, we had the honour of welcoming the SOLAS Choir the CHQ for a heartwarming performance of Christmas songs, in aid of the children’s charity organisation CARI. 😍🎤

It was a lunch-time full of joy through a series of uplighting tunes and carols, all in the name of an important cause.

Storm Bram didn’t stop a groundbreaking event at CHQ last night as Uachtarán na hÉireann Catherine Connolly attended the launch of a new comprehensive monolingual Irish-Irish dictionary.

Until now, understanding unfamiliar Irish words meant relying on Irish-English dictionaries. An Foclóir Nua Gaeilge by Foras na Gaeilge finally puts Irish on the same level as other modern languages, with An tUachtarán calling it “an essential resource in any living language.”

We were delighted to offer a warm fáilte to our new President for such a monumental occasion. A huge bualadh bos to Foras na Geilege for this important step forward in their vision to embed the Irish language into all aspects of life in Ireland, and go raibh maith agat to everyone who joined us.
