Suzanne Doyle Consultancy Join the dots on Projects, with music, tech & arts a speciality.

Running for over fifteen years, 'Suzanne Doyle Consultancy' has been involved in a wide range of projects in Ireland and Internationally, with music, tech and arts a speciality. Most recently working with Irish National Broadcaster RTÉ on their 2016 New Year's Eve Broadcast, The Late Late Show, The Imelda May Show, and the RTÉ 2 Broadcast from Electric Picnic in 2015 & 2016. Prior to these freelance contracts within RTÉ, there was work with The Web Summit and music/tech start up 'WholeWorldBand' (the brainchild of acclaimed video director and musician Kevin Godley). Also worked closely with Hot Press Magazine Editor, Niall Stokes, booking International Speakers for their annual Music Show in Dublin. Highlights from years gone by, include running around the world with U2 on various tours starting in 1987 with The Joshua Tree, then on to Zoo TV & Pop, and subsequently with MTV Europe. Back in those days, there was nothing but pen and paper in hand, (except when luck struck, and walkie talkies/clipboards appeared!). Also represented Independent Record Labels at MTV Europe, working on their behalf to get their artists on the Video Playlist - some successes back in the day were Bjork and The Prodigy. Enjoyed an amazing year working in Sydney Australia at independent record label, rooArt Records where everyone mucked in doing what needed to be done to get the records climbing the charts, and the songs on the radio. Currently working with Irish Folk music legend Finbar Furey on the release of his new album 'Paddy Dear' in Jan 2017.

Very sad news. What a loss, on many levels. I will forever respect Glen Hansard for the amazing work he did with Apollo House, highlight the unforgivable housing crisis in Ireland thanks to Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael 🤯My first awareness of Glen was The Commitments, when I worked with Hubbards to find extras for the classic movie, which I only revisited again last week - he was as cool then as he was until his untimely passing a few days ago. I was living overseas when The Frames rose to fame, but I connected back in with his beautiful solo songs, and incredible duo delights with Markéta Irglová 🎶💫Connecting him with ‘The Ballad of Ronnie Drew’ song, was one of my fav connections, and I am thinking of all his close family and friends at this desperately sad time 💔 I love this wee photo from Ruthless Imagery back in 2010 I think, when I was booking speakers for the Hot Press Music Show.
Go peacefully Glen until we meet again💚

I cannot wait to read ‘Ring of Salt’, a ‘Memoir of finding HOME and HOPE on the Wild Coast of Ireland’ by Betsy Cornwell. Loved that Bridge Street Books Wicklow Wicklow town, has it strategically positioned next to one of my favourite books ever, ‘Poor’ by Dr. Katriona O’Sullivan. I also love and respect how Betsy is ‘giving back’ alongside the brilliant charity COPE Galway with creative writing workshops, and her super inspiring ‘Old Knitting Factory’ The Old Knitting Factory which offers a creative refuge for other single mothers… If anyone is in a position to support, buy Betsy’s book from an independent bookshop, or you can support her Old Knitting Factory on Patreon which is linked in her bio✊🕊️💫💚

People from every province, of all ages and backgrounds, have spoken with one clear message: no loopholes.

This week, the Foreign Affairs Committee can strengthen the Occupied Territories Bill by including services. Without them, the biggest settlement-linked economic activities remain untouched, undermining the impact of the legislation.

There’s still time to make a difference. Email your TDs, the Government, and the Foreign Affairs Committee, and make your voice heard:

No loopholes. Include services. Uphold international law.

So special, gathering with 7 ‘strangers’ at 4.30am this summer Solstice 🌅 in Wicklow town, by the Black Castle.
8 people, who did not know each other, in solidarity with the people of Palestine🇮🇪🇵🇸✊🕊️
It was a ‘last minute dot com’ decision for me to be ‘visible’ as part of (Walks of HOPE) when I realised gatherings were happening all over Ireland & beyond, but none in Wicklow. It followed the poignant episode 18 of the excellent & the real life stories, from two Irish men & Shane O’Connor…
So much resonated for me, and when I heard funds raised will go to the labour of love of who is committed to bringing JOY this summer, to displaced Gaza children and families in Jordan - I was more curious. Making contact with Niamh from .wicklow & I was fully in. If these incredible 🇵🇸people can have HOPE, I can keep HOPE going too - even after witnessing the most horrific cruelty & suffering, unnecessary death & destruction; while simultaneously seeing huge greed, dishonesty & evil in the world over the last 3 yrs or so🌍 💔
I keep reminding myself… for now… I am safe. I am free. I have SO much. Others do not. So, holding and honouring everyone oppressed by colonialism in my heart, is the only way I can feel ‘normal’ right now to be honest…
An unexpected happy feeling as I left that perfect sunrise behind, was that I genuinely felt I had made new friends, and that gives me huge JOY in my own fragile heart.
I can only speak for myself, but I felt a pure, honest, human connection, and for that I am grateful ❤️🖤💚✊🕊️

As part of Siúloid Dóchais (Walks of Hope) happening at sunrise, this Sun 21st June 2026, in Ireland and beyond, I am inviting people to gather at 4.30/4.45am at the Black Castle in South Quay, Wicklow. We can celebrate the Summer Solstice, while also showing solidarity with the Palestinian people.

We hope to raise awareness & funds for Neart Núr -an Irish Non-profit, providing trauma-informed play therapy, & psychosocial support to evacuated Palestinian children & families.

As Neart Núr founder Claire Liddy says, “every child deserves a childhood, and time to simply be a child. Our Play Hubs and Joy Outings are more than just activities; they’re safe and structured environments where children can heal. Play therapy is not a luxury but an urgent intervention for children experiencing trauma.” Neart Núr aims to raise enough funds to provide the best possible summer camp for medically evacuated Palestinians in Amman, Jordan this summer.

This meaningful gesture of connection shines a light on the day of the year that brings the most light to the northern hemisphere, and at a time when our world needs more light than darkness right now 🫶🏻

Make the solidarity circle bigger:
Please consider joining to raise a Palestinian flag, keffiyeh, banner or any other symbol of unity.
Thank you.
🇮🇪🤝🇵🇸
