Yesterday Riverdance had the privilege of being present at a memorial service for Julian Erskine, long term colleague and friend, who worked with us for over 25 years . It was a fitting tribute to the man whom we knew and loved.
Whilst wrapped in sadness one of the joys of the day was meeting again, some for the first time in years, the Riverdance team which worked with John and Moya, and with Julian, during those heady years to ensure the success, and indeed the continuing success, of the global phenomenon which is Riverdance. The years seemed to fall away as we embraced each other and the time which has passed.
The memories we shared reminded us of the continual list making Julian used to do and having complied our list about him it seemed appropriate to speak it in the form of a short poem. Thank you Julian for the years and thank you also to those team members who quietly became what can only be termed, the Riverdance family.
