Still can’t believe I saw my Dublin Inquirer cover in a shop here in Dublin! 🥹💛
It was such a strange and lovely feeling seeing something that started as sketches and ideas at my desk printed and out in the world.
This illustration is a love letter to those everyday pieces of Dublin life that make it feel like home and also about noticing the small things in life; for example the colour of autumn leaves🍁 and the texture of a shell 🐚
Since moving to Dublin a year ago, my bag has slowly filled with small pieces that reflect daily life here: a LUAS card, random notes, leaves I couldn’t resist picking up, the key to my house, sea shells from the beach.
Each item tells a story about settling in, finding my rhythm, and feeling at home in a new city.
I guess I’m a bit of a collector that way, of moments, textures, and stories.🌸
I have painted this with gouache & finished digitally ✨🥰
