The Back Loft Creative Hub
The Back Loft is a bright and spacious multi-disciplinary studio loft located at the back of La Catedral artists studios. Refurbished to a bare minimum to preserve the raw fabric of its past time charm, this inspired space is an unconventional artists’ playground which has been turned into a creative hub since July 2017. The space now accommodates thirteen workstations
for mixed media artists in an open plan set-up. Open to all visual artists, animators, craft, computer and video artists, designers, writers, composers and creators who want to work in an open plan shared environment. Aimed at emerging artists and newly grads, art students and self taught/start up artists who want to spend the summer creating amidst other like-minded creative people. The space consists in a very bright loft, (ex clothing factory), known as the Back Loft, the multipurpose space of La Catedral artists studios, hub of bohemian Dublin; It comes with wi-fi and also features a chill out area ideal for mingling, a fully fitted cafe spot and a decked courtyard. Artists will be selected according to the compatibility of their media in the context of a shared working environment. The artistic media should be noise free, dust free and should be developed within the assigned spot.
