Finally this piece is on show!
In Sculpture in Context 2023 at Botanic Garden, Dublin.

'The empty chair of beautiful memories' is about my mum. The empty chair speaks of loss and absence but through the material also of the warmth and love she showed me.
The colour and shapes in the pattern are inspired by the Linnea flower (Twin flower). It's the regional flower of the province in Sweden where I grew up, and also part of my mother's name - Elsa Ingrid Linnea.

8 years ago, my first submission to Sculpture in Context - "Calla Hepwortia", based on the Calla lilies in the Botanics and inspired by Barbara Hepworth. "Calla" sold on opening night, a great incentive to continue submitting, and now years later I'm on the committee. How things change! 😊
