🟣 HYPER IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!! 🟣

Jaxbanded Theatre are delighted to announce the participation of HYPER in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024!!

"For decades Trans people have been using Hyperpop as a way to shatter standards of genre, gender and good taste.

Right now, the only thing Saoirse wants to shatter is her own f*cking voice."

Told through live vocal modulation and manipulation, HYPER is a rip-roaring and unabashedly Q***r theatrical deep dive into Trans Identity and Music.

HYPER is running from August 1-26th in Summer Hall, Edinburgh at 8:15pm. You can't miss it this time.

After two very successful runs in the Scene & Heard Festival of New Work 2023 and Dublin Fringe Festival 2023, we're back for even more! Jaxbanded would like to thank Culture Ireland for their help in making this production possible.

"In Hate F**k, s*x is everywhere. House mate’s moans through the wall, a r**e trial at work, sleeping with your old college boyfriend…

Abigail’s life is not where she wants it to be, an aspiring actress, living with three housemates and working as a receptionist in a law firm. Her life could not be any more different to Ian’s, her ex boyfriend, who’s life is seemingly perfect, nice apartment, good job, engaged. Abigail and Ian’s relationship is complicated. When they go for dinner one night, things don’t go well."

Ois O'Donoghue is an interdisciplinary artist, actor and producer from Dublin. This is just a fancy way of saying that she takes on way too many jobs for her own good.

Ois is thrilled to have everyone join her on this wild ride as she continues the trend and writes, directs and performs in HYPER in the role of 'Immaterial Saoirse'.

Fiona Larmon is a performer with a particular interest in how movement can be integrated into traditional narrative,

She's now over the moon to join the cast of HYPER in the role of 'Saoirse', and for those who know her, she’s making sure to slide on her trusty knee brace to make sure she doesn't put the 'pop' in hyperpop.
