🚨 URGENT: OUR FRIEND AND MEMBER OF QUARE CLARE, SARAH CLANCY, HAS BEEN ABDUCTED BY ISRAEL 🚨

We are outraged and deeply concerned that our friend, poet, and activist Sarah Clancy has been illegally intercepted and abducted while on a non-violent mission to deliver aid to Gaza. This is a blatant contravention of international law.

A poet’s work is to bear witness, to suffering, to joy, to injustice, and to make sure those stories are not erased. Sarah was carrying this work beyond words, bringing solidarity and aid to people under siege.

Sarah, and all those on the flotilla, are showing true leadership - bringing food and aid to a population that is being deliberately starved by Israel. Why is Israel preventing life-saving supplies from reaching people in desperate need? Why is our government not demanding their accountability for this crime, alongside the immediate and safe release of those abducted?

We demand immediate intervention from the Irish government and from our elected representatives to ensure Sarah’s safety and release. Silence is complicity. Inaction is unacceptable.

We also send our solidarity, love, and unwavering support to everyone who was illegally intercepted and abducted overnight. You are not forgotten. We see you, we honour your courage, and we will not stop demanding your freedom.

👉 We urge everyone reading this to contact your TDs immediately and demand that they act now. They have ignored us so far, but they cannot be allowed to ignore Sarah’s abduction or the violence inflicted on those who stand for justice in Gaza.
