Last Thursday, we were delighted to welcome artist Liz Johnson to the dlr Mill Theatre for an informal artist talk and gallery presentation exploring her Sense of Place painting series, currently on display in the dlr Mill Gallery. 🎨

Liz shared an insight into her artistic practice, inspiration and the ideas behind the series, before opening the floor to a brilliant conversation filled with thoughtful questions from our audience.

Over the last three weeks we have been completely blown away by the commitment, talent and hard work this incredible cast have brought to Hadestown: Teen Edition. From long rehearsals to learning lyrics, music and movement, they have poured so much into this production, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.

Now it’s time to share it with an audience, and we cannot wait for you to experience the magic they’ve created!

Craic Dealers Comedy Club is BACK with another massive night of craic in the majestic studio at dlr Mill Theatre!

✨Hosted as usual by Keego ✨

Returning to Craic Dealers by popular demand is Jess Collins! Born and raised in Dublin, Jess is hilarious, authentic and unafraid of creating tension where there is none.

Jess is joined by the housewives favourite, Gary Lynch! Gary is Ireland’s leading mid-life crisis comedian. He doesn’t know where his youth went, or what he should have done differently. He just knows it’s a LOT. Gary tours extensively around Ireland, UK & Europe, performing as part of The Good The Bad & The Irish, and as part of Laughter Lines improv group. He performs at The Edinburgh Fringe with his solo shows, as well as running Irish Comedy Invasion. He doesn’t expect to be around much longer.

Along with Jess and Gary are Elizabeth Redmond and Laura Greene 🎤

The mighty Revolver is 60 years old. The Classic Beatles take on their biggest artistic challenge yet tackling everything from Taxman to the monumental Tomorrow Never Knows. For those of you who have seen one of the Classic Beatles’ previous tours (The Number 1s 2023, Magical Mystery Tour 2024 or The 1965 Tour 2025) will know a great night’s entertainment is in store.

Philo By Peter Sheridan comes to dlr Mill Theatre on 21st March 2027 ✨

Peter Sheridan’s latest play is a poignant and hilarious tale of the lives of two women from very different backgrounds.

Philo is dyed in the wool inner city with a big personality and a big mouth to match. Sister Rosaleen, her boss, is a thoughtful woman who has embraced the religious life in the wake of a failed relationship. On the face of it, they seem like polar opposites. But they do share one thing. They are both carrying secrets and they are both running from the past. And once the truth of their former lives starts to reveal itself, they find that they have much more in common than they ever thought possible. They are both determined not to be beaten down by the system and their cheerfulness in the face of adversity shines through and brings this drama to a heart-warming and unexpected resolution.

With great sadness we mourn the passing of Patrick Sutton.

Director of The Gaiety School of Acting from 1993 to 2024, Patrick’s influence runs through the very heart of Irish acting and his teachings have gone on to shape some of the most brilliant talents our country has ever produced, stars whose names are known across the world.

He believed deeply in theatre as a force for good, as a home for every kind of voice, and as a community that enriches us all and his influence rippled out across every stage, screen, and performance space in this country, including right here at the Mill.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family, loved ones, friends and the entire Gaiety School of Acting community.

May he rest in peace. 🤍

How does someone become a magician?

Attempting to answer this question, WHY MAGIC? is a spellbinding tale of self-discovery filled with astonishing interactive and visual magic.

Based on experiences from Daniel’s own life, WHY MAGIC? is a one-man play that tells the story of a young boy who always struggled to fit in. One evening after witnessing magician Paul Daniels on television, everything changes. He discovers the world of magic, a world that gives him a form of confidence that nothing else ever did. But how does he navigate this world? And how can he manifest his dream into a reality?
