Sorry we’ve been so quiet 🤫…..
We’ve been busy in recent weeks & had problems accessing our FB account, so focussed on Insta & BlueSky instead.

We had a very successful concert last Sunday (photos to follow 🤞🏻) & are grateful to the fabulous audience for a wonderful reception.

(We’re likely to move away from ‘X’ soon because, is spite of having a lot of choral groups on that platform, it is being overwhelmed by irrelevant & nasty staff, dictates by its low control algorithms.)

We’ll be back here after Christmas so please ‘watch this space

We’re delighted for our conductor on this appointment!

This is a new role, designed to deliver and oversee the musical training of our youngest singers, work alongside our fantastic creative team, and develop pathways into singing for all young people.

We can't believe how many new people have joined us over the past year. We're actually almost full and we have started a waiting list for most voice parts. However, we do have a *small number* of places for new basses to join us. If you think you have a low voice and would like to be part of a very special choir (and sing in a big performance on Messiah in April!), get in touch ASAP! If you know someone who would love to be involved, let them know!

What an absolutely AMAZING day at our Come and Sing Messiah! Messiah was the first-ever performance given by Tallaght Choral Society in 1971 and Handel even spent time in Killinarden, less than 10 minutes away from our venue today, so it was fitting that our first-ever Come and Sing would be Messiah! Congratulations to all the singers who took part, but a special huge CONGRATULATIONS to all the people who were absolutely new to choral singing - such an achievement to learn and perform Messiah in one day, particularly if it was your first day of choir! We can’t wait for the next Come and Sing, which will be hosted by Dublin Youth Choir in November in the stunning Windmill QTR! Keep an eye out for more details soon!

We’re about to wrap up an INCREDIBLE few days in Italy but we wanted to let you know that it’s not too late to sign up for our Come and Sing event that is taking place on Saturday. If this trip is anything to go by, you will have the CRAIC while also making amazing music! Come and sing!

Do you like singing with other people? If so, Tallaght Choral Society's ‘Come and Sing Messiah’ is for you! Tallaght Choral Society provides a welcoming atmosphere in which you will be supported to learn and perform a range of Messiah choruses in just one day. If you are new to the music, Lynsey Callaghan and her team of highly trained tutors will help you learn key choruses from Handel’s Messiah, moving from small sectionals at the start of the day to a full-choir rehearsal after lunch. If you are already familiar with the music, this day is a great opportunity to develop your vocal technique, understanding of the score and performance skills. At the end of the day, all participants will perform a range of Messiah choruses for family and friends - don’t forget to invite them!
