Disconnected from the present, dialing into the past. ☎️📜 There’s something timeless about the weight and whirl of an antique rotary phone. Spent some time capturing the shadows and intricate details of this vintage beauty.
A detailed charcoal and graphite drawing of a vintage rotary telephone. The artwork captures a classic "Eiffel Tower" style handset with an ornate, filigree-patterned base. The drawing demonstrates a high level of technical skill, particularly in the rendering of light reflecting off the curved metallic surfaces and the deep, rich shadows that give the object a three-dimensional weight. The circular rotary dial is meticulously numbered, and the coiled cord adds a sense of realistic texture. The background is a clean, off-white paper, making the dark values of the phone pop.

I followed the recipe, but the cookies came out a bit... sketchy. ✍️🍪 Rate this stack from 1-10!
From basic shapes to fresh-baked realism. 🍪✨ There’s something so therapeutic about layering textures until a drawing looks good enough to eat. Which version is your favorite: the clean sketch or the final bake?
The image displays a vertical stack of three round cookies drawn on white paper. The top and bottom cookies are slightly angled, while the middle one sits flat. The final version uses heavy contrast with deep blacks for the chocolate chips and fine, stippled shading to mimic the rough, sugary texture of a real cookie. The light source comes from the top left, creating soft shadows between the layers of the stack.

The "Process" Vibe😊🍾🍷
From a simple outline to the final gleam. 🥂 There’s something so satisfying about watching a drawing come to life layer by layer. Which stage is your favorite?
This series of images documents the step-by-step creation of a graphite pencil drawing of a wine glass.
Initial Stages: The artist begins with a light contour sketch, establishing the symmetry of the bowl, stem, and base.
Intermediate Stages: Soft shading is added to the top of the bowl and the curves of the glass to suggest volume.
Final Stages: The drawing is brought to life with high-contrast "weighted" lines and dark values at the base and stem. Large, white unshaded vertical blocks are left in the center of the bowl to realistically mimic light reflecting off a curved glass surface.

From basic shapes to final shadows. ✨ Swipe to see the evolution of this botanical study. There is something so therapeutic about building up the values layer by layer.
This artwork is a monochromatic graphite study of a flower blossoming from a textured, gnarled branch. The final piece features deep, rich shadows that give the petals and the wood a strong sense of volume. The artist has thoughtfully captured the contrast between the delicate, smooth petals and the rough, stippled bark of the branch. The inclusion of the cast shadow on the paper adds a professional, three-dimensional depth to the composition....

An "egg-cellent" start to the day. ✏️ Just a little sunny-side-up study to keep the creativity sizzling.
This artwork is a detailed monochromatic sketch of a sunny-side-up fried egg. The artist has used graphite or charcoal to create a high-contrast realism style. The yolk is smooth with a distinct reflective highlight, while the egg white features intricate "lacy" textures and bubbling around the edges to simulate being fried in a pan. Soft shadowing beneath the egg gives the drawing a three-dimensional, "pop-off-the-page" effect.

From simple lines to everyday life.
A kettle and a fried egg — ordinary objects, but full of light, shadow, and detail when seen through a pencil. ✏️

Sometimes the simplest things make the most satisfying sketches.
This pencil sketch explores everyday objects using light, shadow, and texture. The metallic reflections of the kettle and the soft texture of a fried egg were drawn using careful shading and pencil strokes to create depth and realism. Practicing simple objects helps improve observation and drawing skills.
