The evening is divided into 2 parts:
In Conversation - Weaving Together followed by Live Music with Les Irlandais de Bretagne.
🤝 In Conversation - Weaving Together
Join internationally acclaimed Irish Tapestry Artist Frances Crowe and Hanna Zabudska from the Liberties Weavers for a fascinating conversation about Irelands weaving heritage. This heritage was hugely influenced by a group of French refugees known as the Huguenots, who came to Ireland in the late 17th century.
Frances will also speak about her own development as a Tapestry Artist and her work with Breton Tapestry Artist - Marie - Thumette Brichard.
🎶Live Music with Les Irlandais de Bretagne
Explore the historical ties between Brittany and Ireland through music in English, French, Breton and Irish. This performance will highlight the shared Celtic heritage and the often forgotten history of migration and mutual influence between Ireland and Brittany.
'Weaving Culture & Heritage' is supported by Roscommon County Council and Culture Ireland, as part of the Cultúr 2026 Arts & Culture Programme.
