As we gather ourselves after our Pop Up Textile Museum, we wanted to take a moment to share some of the pieces and stories that sparked so many conversations over the weekend.

Some of the talented crafters from Dynamic Drimnagh created this fabulous loopy cardigan and St. Patrick’s Day poncho, capturing the colour, creativity and character of children’s fashion in The Liberties Dublin.

We were also incredibly lucky to be loaned a beautiful Silver Cross pram by one of our Facebook followers. In The Liberties, a pram was often more than a pram, it could double as a market stall, carrying children alongside hair bows, broken biscuits, loose ci******es, fish and whatever else helped keep a household going.

These objects hold memories of resilience, community and everyday life in The Liberties.

A picture really can tell a thousand stories.

And that's a wrap!

We need your help.....

Our Pop-Up Textile Museum is underway, but we’re missing a few special pieces to truly represent the rich textile heritage of The Liberties.

We’re on the lookout for,

• An old Silver Cross pram to represent the Liberty Market.

• A Fry’s Irish Poplin tie

If you have either tucked away in an attic, shed, or passed down through family, we would be absolutely thrilled to borrow them for the exhibition.

Every object tells a story and you could help us tell this one.

Please get in touch, and do share far and wide!
