Delighted to see some lovely mentions in the reviews of the set and costumes we co-created with .hayter for Footsbarn Travelling Theatre’s production La Petite Gerda in its run at the Edinburgh Fringe. We worked very hard on this show, and we’re proud to see the positive mentions for the design. Congrats to all involved!
Thanks too to the Arts Council of Ireland for their support through the IRIS residency scheme, and for all the support they’ve given us to date.

We are over the moon to be bringing The Cabinet of Curatrocities to Shambala Festival this weekend! Catch us in the Puppet Parlour tent on Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 6pm – madness for all ages 🥳

Step right up, and prepare to avert your eyes! Hold your breath, hold your tongue, hold your nose… Baubo Theatre’s world-famous Cabinet of Curatrocities is in town. Delight in lost relics and treasures from the far-off reaches of the world, the likes of which have never been seen on the streets of your fair city.

Join the Right Honorable Baron von Munchcracker and the irrepressible Spud, and their travelling cabinet of assorted curiosities, and atrocities. They have traversed the nine corners of the earth and the five seas to bring you the sights, sounds and smells of their collection. Have you ever wondered what happened to Icarus’s wings after they fell off? Or wondered what a mirror would say to you if it could talk? Or wanted to know what a tapeworm dancing a tango looks like? Watch in fascination (or recoil in horror) as the two heroes produce their outlandish, outré and offbeat articles. These two grotesque and lovable characters use an inventive mix of puppetry, song and dance to tell the tales of how they came by their treasures. But be warned: this cabinet is not for the faint of heart – and what is seen cannot be unseen.

We cannot overstate how hugely formative this opportunity was for us. It's taken us to places we couldn't have imagined going just a year ago. Residencies like this are game-changing, and it was such a huge privilege to work with the team and perform at Spraoi, Waterford.

We have some very exciting news! 🎪🎭
We are working with the legendary Footsbarn Travelling Theatre on a new production, which will open this summer in their big top tent. Footsbarn have been a huge inspiration to us, and we couldn't be happier about working with them and the wonderful team behind Little Gerda and the Snow Queen.

We have also been awarded funding from Culture Ireland to bring our show The Cabinet of Curatrocities to the Footsbarn en Fête festival next summer. We're very grateful for their support, and very excited to bring this show to new audiences!
