This public art experience via the SOUNDWALK app will be live for a year in St. Stephen’s Green. Featuring National Symphony Orchestra & many other artists.

Cherry Blossom season may have come to a close, but Tokyo's Ellen Reid SOUNDWALK will be active all year long!

Ellen Reid Soundwalk is a GPS-enabled work of public art that uses music to illuminate the natural environment 🌸

Tokyo's SOUNDWALK has a special feature: Kronos’ 50 for the Future Forest, a wooded landscape where listeners can explore ALL of the pieces in our collection.

SOUNDWALK is now LIVE in Tokyo at Ueno Park!!

Ellen Reid SOUNDWALK featuring Kronos Quartet and Kronos' 50 for the Future reimagines Tokyo’s Ueno Park as a rich collage of sound and texture. Just in time for the cherry blossoms 🌸sakura🌸

To honor five decades of intrepid music-making, this SOUNDWALK has a special feature: Kronos’s 50 for the Future Forest, a wooded landscape where listeners can explore all of Kronos’s 50 for the Future commissions, a free library of fifty contemporary works designed to guide string quartets in developing and honing the skills required for the performance of 21st-century repertoire. These works will be presented over the course of the four seasons, starting now with the spring collection.

日本初上陸となる今回は、作曲家本人が実際に上野公園を歩いたうえで音響デザインがなされました。歩いた場所や経路によって、ヘッドフォンやイヤフォンから聴こえてくる音楽が万華鏡のように変化するーー新感覚の音楽散歩をぜひ体験してください！

Active NOW in London: Ellen Reid SOUNDWALK Regent’s Park & Primrose Hill, presented by Wellcome Collection

This bespoke SOUNDWALK covers the entire park, and features special performances by the Kronos Quartet, Shabaka Hutchings, James McVinnie Ensemble, Nadia Sirota, Los Angeles Percussion Quartet, Lisel, and the SOUNDWALK Ensemble.

The path you choose dictates the music you hear, and no two visits will be exactly alike. Check the second slide for some performer location hints, and download the free app at the link in our bio!

We are thrilled to announce SOUNDWALK is now LIVE in Regent’s Park & Primrose Hill, presented by Wellcome Collection

This installation will be available for two years, and features special performances by Kronos Quartet (), Shabaka Hutchings (), James McVinnie Ensemble (), and the SOUNDWALK Ensemble.

Ellen Reid’s kaleidoscopic score moves with you as you explore Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill, triggering musical cells carefully crafted to enhance the park’s landscape and environment. The path you choose dictates the music you hear, and no two visits will be exactly the same.
