The aphotic is the dark where no light reaches. Carlingford Lough has its own kind of dark; sediment-thick, tidal, closing over quickly. Drawing on the loughโ€™s marine science, Suzanne Carroll paints its unseen depths in oil and encaustic, makes her own pigment from its shore, and catalogues what the tide leaves behind. Gathered and cared for, then catalogued and classified with AI, each object asks the same question: what did this cost, and how did it get here?

John Bosco McLaine is a man who has never lain down with a woman, but has had romantic blood pulsing through his veins all his life. Always an optimist, and virgin in equal measure, he embarks on a search for an ideal companion regardless of age, failure rate or dammed advice!โ€ฆ and in a community where advice is ample and women few, he follows his heart in an ultimate bid to procure himself a wife.

There will also be stalls selling merch, zines, tapes and records from distros and labels such as The War at Home Tapes, Bend or Break, Camellia Sinensis Records, Spiral and more.

๐˜ˆ๐˜ง๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜—๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ค๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฐ, a community theatre collaboration between The Little Duke Theatre - Drogheda School of Performing Arts and The Red Door Project - LCDAT, supported by and at Droichead Arts Centre, 4th - 6th Sep at 8pm! ๐ŸŽช๐ŸŽฉ

A contemporary retelling of Pinocchio set in Drogheda, a young man running from his problems falls in with an unlikely crew of fairground performers who accompany him on a whirlwind journey of self-discovery and change.

Performed by participants of The Red Door Project and members of the Little Duke Theatre, this is a boisterous, entertaining musical featuring original music, lyrics and script. This is a night of fun, heart, laughter and tears not to be missed!
