The Drogheda Singing Gathering

The Drogheda Singing Gathering Louth. The Singing Gathering is about celebrating the songs of our heritage and the generations of singers who passed them down.

Drogheda Singing Gathering is organised by a voluntary group of people who really love singing and wish to foster and celebrate this wonderful, intimate tradition The Drogheda Singing Gathering warmly invites you to join us for what we plan to be Ireland's largest gathering of traditional singers from the 8th – 10th February 2013 in Drogheda, Co. What better way to do that, than to bring together

people who love to sing, share and listen to these wonderful songs. The weekend will entail informal, intimate singing sessions in the Droichead Arts Centre’s café/bar as well as a myriad of atmospheric settings including historical landamarks, old pubs, kitchens and even cellars throughout Drogheda and the local area. The canon of the Drogheda Singing Gathering is that everyone’s contribution is equally important and we look forward to the magic and spontaneity created by these informal sessions. It would be our pleasure if you could join us for this important celebration and to share your store of songs. For more information please contact Evelyn McNamara, 086 3721226

INISHOWEN SINGING WEEKEND 2020 CANCELLED.
In light of the ongoing uncertainties around the spread of the Coronavirus, we feel the only way we can help protect visitors and the local community is by cancelling this year's gathering. We are genuinely saddened at having to do this but health is the most important issue in all of this. We hope that you all remain safe and well until we meet again in Inishowen...
Could we please ask you to share this post as widely as possible and contact anyone who you think may have intended travelling to the festival. Your help would be very much appreciated.
