A SPECIAL ONE-DAY COURSE AT GLEBE HOUSE, DOWTH
Following the tremendous response to my sold-out online course, I’m delighted to announce a new in-person event:
THE TUATHA DÉ DANANN
Gods, Ancestors, or Something Else Entirely?
Saturday, 26 September 2026
10am–5pm
Glebe House, Dowth, County Meath
€195 per person
Strictly limited to 18 participants
Spend a full day exploring the identity, origins and extraordinary stories of the Tuatha Dé Danann – the mysterious supernatural race at the heart of Irish mythology.
We will examine what the medieval texts actually tell us, explore the principal figures and traditions, and consider whether the Tuatha Dé Danann were understood as gods, ancestors or something else entirely.
Previous participants have described my Mythical Ireland one-day courses as:
★★★★★
“One of the best overviews of the importance of Irish myth and archaeology you could attend.”
“Scholarly but not stuffy.”
The course will include illustrated teaching sessions, printed course materials, opportunities for questions and discussion, and tea, coffee and pastries. Participants should bring a packed lunch.
Only 18 places are available.
