Be it interactively through music and percussion, or audio, through recordings and broadcasting or visually, through gallery exhibitions or murals or through street pageants. Kada KaBoom Arts provides opportunities for people to interact, respond and express themselves through the arts. There are workshops in Samba Drumming and Percussion, Costume Creations, Group exhibitions, themed visual and mu
sical productions, event production, all surrounding the Arts. In the last thirteen years Kada KaBoom Arts has worked with groups and organisations which include teachers of primary and secondary schools, third level colleges, youth groups, women’s and men’s groups, theatrical groups. As well as corporate organisations which include Coca-Cola Atlantic and Microsoft Ireland. It coverage is nationwide and abroad presenting these workshops. In 2013, working with Artist Tom Duffy, Kada KaBoom Arts was commissioned to produce a mural for Coca-Cola Atlantic that specifically expressed a particular teams role in the organisation and where they fitted into the global organisations. Kada KaBoom Arts coordinate and facilitate street theatre productions such as The Spook Parade in Drogheda1999-2012. It was also took charge of the Artistic Direction of The Ranelagh Arts Festival’s schools involvement 2007-2011.
2000 - 2020 Kada KaBoom Arts has presented/facilitated the Department of Education and Skills FACE-TO-FACE SUMMER COURSES in the education centres of Kilkenny, Monaghan, Donegal, Meath, Sligo, Athlone, Cork and Dublin West. The course entitled “Music from Scratch through Samba Drumming and Percussion” enables the participant to teach through rhythm many of the elements contained in the current primary school music curriculum covering the strands of listening, performing and composing. There is also a one day advanced course which has been facilitated in education centres nationwide.
