🎬 SOY TRIBULETE 7 — A COMMUNITY FIGHTS BACK

What would you do if you were told your home had been sold to a vulture fund — and you had to leave?

Soy Tribulete 7 takes us inside a 107-year-old apartment building in Madrid’s Lavapiés neighbourhood, where more than 100 residents came together to resist eviction.

What began as one building’s fight became a powerful symbol of the wider struggle for housing rights, community and solidarity.

Made over two years by journalists and filmmakers Leah Pattem and Elisa González, the documentary captures the lives of the residents of Calle Tribulete 7 and their extraordinary campaign to remain in their homes.

A radical interpretation of Forum Theatre presented by This Thing, a Drogheda initiative to bring theatre centre to the decisions we make.

This Thing is a group of community artists who have one thing in common, a love for our home of Drogheda. In collaboration with Upstate Theatre Project and Development Perspectives, we invite you to join us for an evening of theatre and discussion as we explore collaborative and positive ways to affect change on a community level.

After a year of workshops, our community is excited to share our work with the wider Drogheda network, and hope to spark conversation, so join us in The Little Duke performance space at 7pm on Culture Night as we create the first ripple that will build in to a wave of change in Drogheda!

Audiences can expect traditional theatre performances, as well as a chance to interact and change the scene as they are guided through forum theatre techniques by our experienced team of facilitators and performers. These scenes will explore every day injustices, as well as macro factors that affect day to day life in Drogheda. We hope you come along, be inspired, and stay for the chats afterward!

🌿✨ A wonderful day of creativity, learning and connection on Ardee Bog! ✨🌿

Upstate Theatre Project was delighted to host an outdoor art and educational workshop on Ardee Bog with artist Vivienne Byrne, bringing participants together to explore this unique landscape through creativity, conversation and discovery.

The workshop offered an opportunity to engage with the rich natural heritage of the bog, inspiring reflection on its ecological importance while creating artwork inspired by the surrounding environment.

A heartfelt thank you to Fiona Crawley and Anne Lennon for their generous hosting, knowledge and support throughout the day.
We are also deeply grateful to our funders, the Arts Council and the Peatlands and Natura Community Engagement Scheme, whose support makes projects like this possible.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a memorable experience. We look forward to sharing more of this journey with you soon.

Join artists Farah Elle and Caroline Moreau for a creative workshop exploring voice, song, and wellbeing in a supportive, welcoming environment.

These sessions are designed as a safe and inclusive space for women of all cultures and backgrounds to come together, connect through song, and explore their creativity. Through gentle vocal exercises, shared singing, and creative expression, participants are invited to engage with music as a tool for both artistic exploration and personal wellbeing.

No singing experience is needed – all abilities are welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and open to anyone curious about using their voice in a creative way.

Free to attend. No booking required – just come along.
