Doreen studied painting at the National College of Art and Design under the direction of the late Henry Healy RHA. She has enjoyed a successful career and her work now forms part of many private and corporate international collections. One of her paintings was selected for the cover of a short story entitled ''A Week in Summer'' by the late, great Irish novelist Maeve Binchy. Doreens Studio opened

in 2010 for visitors wishing to purchase a piece of art work and for students wishing to avail of Winter or Summer classes. To compliment the studio a feature garden is also being created. Doreen is an experienced gardener having won national awards for her previous garden also located in North Clare. The Art Studio is open from April to October and year round by appointment. It is situated in one of the most beautiful, scenic locations in North Clare with views of the famous Cliffs of Moher and is well worth a visit when your next in the area!

Have you visited the Burren in Co.Clare?
This painting was made on the beach in Fanore where the Burren runs into the Atlantic.
In the distance the Cliffs of Moher peek out on the horizon underneath a Summer Sky, tinged with shades of pink and Naples yellow.

Every morning I walk from Fisher Street in Doolin to the pier, and most days the same cows are there. Grazing in green fields with the Cliffs of Moher rising behind them and the Atlantic rolling in.
This painting is that walk, that exact stretch of CoClare, at that exact hour.
