Set on the edge of the Atlantic, the Dingle Literary Festival brings together authors, storytellers, and readers for a weekend of events and fun.

Bheadh an cheardlann seo iontach do dhaoine atá nua chuig an nGaeilge, atá ag iarraidh iad féin a chur in iúl go cruthaitheach, ag meascadh foghlaim bhunúsach le spreagadh scríbhneoireachta. Beidh na rannpháirtithe ag baint triail as foclóir agus struchtúir shimplí Gaeilge agus iad ag cruthú dánta, scéalta agus filíochta, ag déanamh forbartha ar a bhféinmhuinín agus a gcumas a gcuid oibre a roinnt os ard — go háirithe ag oícheanta mic oscailte.

Off The Scéal:
Is oíche oscailte ilteangach é Off The Scéal a bhunaigh Daniel Flynn agus Ola Majekodunmi d'fhilí, ceoltóirí, scéalaithe agus fuirseoirí ó gach cúlra. Ba mhaith leo spás a chruthú d’ealaíontóirí ilteangacha, ilchultúrtha agus ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ar ghuthanna éagsúla i mBéarla, i nGaeilge, agus i dteangacha eile.

Is craoltóir, scríbhneoir, Gaeilgeoir, léiritheoir cruthaitheach agus éascaitheoir ceardlainne Nigéarach-Éireannach í Ola Majekodunmi.

In this workshop, participants will examine the process of making short films to accompany their poetry. They will study the elements needed to translate the written word into moving images. This will include exploring different visual mediums, considering narrative versus non-narrative approaches, and exploring soundscapes.
This workshop is for anyone interested in interdisciplinary arts practice and experimenting with new mediums.

Jesse Gilbert is a filmmaker from the Beara Peninsula. His films take inspiration from his home place and have won awards at festivals both in Ireland and internationally. He is the current filmmaker-in-residence for the county of Kerry, where he works intergenerationally with those interested in filmmaking.

The Arts Council have been generously supporting the festival since its inception in 2019. Di**le Lit has thrived and flourished since then, and we want to thank the Arts Council for their central role in our success. We look forward to another fantastic programme of workshops and events this November.

Are you in a book club? We want to offer you and three other book club members the chance to win weekend passes to Di**le Literary Festival this year (20-22 November).

Thank you so much to the Di**le Skellig Hotel for hosting us each November. The venue is an integral part of our festival, and adds an extra bit of magic to each event. We look forward to another jam-packed programme of events with the Di**le Skellig in November 2026.

Become a Festival Patron
Support the Festival with a commitment of €500 over the next four years. As a Patron, your support (if you wish) will be recognised on our website and in the festival brochure. You will receive an invitation to the official opening ceremony for the next four festivals, as well as a weekend pass allowing you to attend any author event you wish.

Festival Friend
As a Friend, you pledge €250 per year for the next four years. Your support (if you wish) will be recognised on our website and in the festival brochure. You will receive an invitation to the official opening ceremony for the next four festivals, as well as tickets to three events of your choosing.
