Great setting for a music workshop. Many thanks to & & all of the youngsters who came to our Cruinniú na nÓg event. I poked my head into some of the other workshops too & it was great to see et al. The city was buzzing with the weekly Cork Palestine solidarity march & other events nothing like Cork on a Saturday 💙

Remembering a couple of legendary cork DJs today, both of whom were wonderful on the mic too. Great characters, great friends to us all, & both with a unique style. We lost them both far too young. Happy birthday Peter the Kid who would be 40 today while Broz would have turned 50

I’m also remembering my great friend Dave, who was often my sideman when I started playing in Dublin in the 90s, and who accompanied me on many adventures in college, and at club nights, festivals & even later as my neighbour next door.

We really are just passing though this crazy world. I’m proud of all of these friends who made a real impact in their short time here. I’m glad we shared so many good times together 🕊️❤️
