This weekend, Declan and Shane were at The Lir Academy in Trinity College Dublin as part of the rollout of their brand-new Speech & Drama Programme, discussing how the programme will be introduced and delivered here at Studio Wolfe.

We are incredibly honoured to announce that Studio Wolfe Drama has been selected as one of the founding partner schools for this exciting new programme.

When The Lir Academy approached us about being involved, it immediately felt like the perfect fit for Studio Wolfe and our approach to drama.

Our drama classes have always been about imagination, improv, playfulness, creativity and confidence — giving our students the freedom to explore, create characters, take risks and, most importantly, enjoy being on stage.

The idea of a programme that places these elements at the heart of drama, rather than focusing on note-taking, learning poems off by heart and preparing for traditional exams, really resonated with us.

We are so proud to be one of the first schools selected to bring this new approach to our students, and we can’t wait to see where it takes them.

A huge thank you to The Lir Academy for inviting Studio Wolfe to be part of this journey. We’re so excited to get started!

ONLY 2 SINGING SPACES LEFT!

Due to the incredible demand for our One-to-One Singing Lessons, we now have just TWO spaces remaining for the new term, starting Monday 14th September!

Our singing lessons have been so popular that Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday are FULL.
The only remaining spaces are:

Monday 4:20–4:50pm
Monday 6:50–7:20pm

These tailored one-to-one lessons are a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their vocal skills, confidence and performance abilities in a fun, supportive and encouraging environment.

Whether your child wants to improve their vocal technique, build confidence, prepare for performances or simply loves to sing, our lessons are suitable for all levels and abilities.

With just TWO spaces remaining, these are likely to go quickly!

CIRCUS WOLFE IS COMING TO TOWN!

We have been bursting to share this one with you…

Studio Wolfe has been involved in countless shows and productions over the years. Our students have performed in venues across Cork and beyond, taken to stages around the world and experienced some incredible opportunities along the way.

But this year, we wanted to do something really different.

Something our students will talk about for years to come.

So this December…

WE’RE BRINGING THE BIG TOP TO CARRIGALINE! 🎪
And this isn't just a circus-themed show.

Our Dance and Drama students are going to perform INSIDE A REAL CIRCUS TENT, in front of a live audience of family and friends.

This December, every Dance and Drama student at Studio Wolfe will get the opportunity to perform.

We have taken on a huge challenge to make this show happen — securing a real circus tent, finding the perfect location and bringing together everything needed to create a massive production for our students and their families.

The moment classes begin this term, the magic starts! Our students will begin creating their brand-new dance routines and drama pieces, ready to take centre stage under the Big Top in December.

In loving memory of Elmarie Mawe ❤️

We are heartbroken to hear of the passing of our dear friend and esteemed colleague, Elmarie Mawe.

As the wonderful presenter of the Arts Show on 96FM, Elmarie was such a passionate champion of the arts in Cork. Declan was a regular contributor to her programme, and over the years she became so much more than a colleague — she became a very special friend to us.

Elmarie never failed to support and promote Studio Wolfe. She celebrated our performances, competitions and accomplishments with such genuine enthusiasm and pride, always giving our students a voice and helping to shine a light on the incredible arts community here in Cork.

Her warmth, kindness, generosity and unwavering love for the arts touched so many people. The Cork arts scene has lost one of its greatest champions, and it simply won’t be the same without her.

We feel incredibly privileged to have known her and to have shared so many wonderful moments with her. We will miss her more than words can say.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with her beloved husband Conor, her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

Rest peacefully, Elmarie. Thank you for believing in us, championing us and always cheering us on. ❤️

🎭 ANNOUNCING OUR NEXT STUDIO WOLFE MUSICAL!

We are so excited to reveal that our Musical Groups’ next production will be ANNIE, hitting the stage on January 9th & 10th!

Based on the beloved Broadway musical, Annie is packed with unforgettable songs, incredible characters, big dance numbers and plenty of heart. From the streets of New York to Daddy Warbucks’ mansion, this is a classic musical that promises to be an amazing experience for our young performers!

This production is open to Studio Wolfe students in 5th & 6th Class and Secondary School who love to SING, DANCE & ACT and are ready to commit to a full musical theatre experience.

JUNIOR LEVEL 1 DANCE — NEW STUDENTS WELCOME THIS SEPTEMBER

Our Junior Level 1 Dance classes are designed for children aged 5–6 years, introducing young dancers to Modern Theatre Jazz and Musical Theatre in a fun, structured and supportive environment.

Children develop their dance technique, coordination, musicality, confidence and performance skills through warm-ups, dance games, creative choreography and routines they can be proud of.

With music they know, exciting choreography and the occasional touch of magic with props, every class is designed to keep young dancers engaged while helping them grow.

JUNIOR DRAMA — NEW STUDENTS WELCOME THIS SEPTEMBER

Is your child in 1st, 2nd or 3rd class and ready to take a step into the world of drama?

Junior Drama is our specially designed drama class for children in 1st to 3rd class — helping young performers build confidence, find their voice and discover the joy of performing.

Through performance games, role play, improvisation, storytelling and creative activities, children get to express themselves, use their imagination, work as a team and develop confidence in a fun, supportive environment.

And you don't need to worry if your child is shy or has never done drama before. Our classes are designed to encourage every child to take part, try something new and grow in confidence at their own pace.

Wolfe Pups is our specially designed drama class for children in Junior and Senior Infants — and it’s the perfect first step into performing arts.

Through storytelling, imaginative play, character exploration, games, movement and creative activities, children get to express themselves, build confidence and make new friends — all in a warm, supportive environment.

And there’s no need to worry if your child is shy or has never done drama before. Wolfe Pups is designed specifically for first-time performers, with no pressure to perform and plenty of encouragement along the way.
