Sacred Harp Singers of Cork Sacred Harp is a 4-part harmony American folk singing tradition. New singers always welcome, of all voice types and experience levels.

We use a shape note system - easy for beginners to learn to sight read. Sacred Harp is an American folk tradition, singing four part harmonies in full natural voice. We sing from the Sacred Harp, first published in 1844 in Georgia, but this is a living tradition,
and the most recent edition features songs ranging from the 16th century to the present day. We aim to create a friendly, welcoming atm

osphere where people from all backgrounds can come together and enjoy this unique American tradition. We use a shape note system, which allows beginners to easily learn to read music. We currently aim to sing twice monthly; please keep an eye on our page for details of upcoming singings and workshops. All voices welcome; no experience necessary!
