Hi Everybody,

Thank you so much for your support since the beginning of the project. Alternative Echoes started with the ambition of gathering artists from the Theater world or else and use our creativity to bring a show on stage.
We sincerely wish to apologize as due to circumstances beyond of our control we had to cancel the showing.

It was with a lot of regret that we had to reach this conclusion and again, we apologize for informing you so close to its release.

Despite the show's cancellation, the Alternative Echoes will remain a theater company - changing our name - and keep creating. Therefore, we wish to ask our crowdfunding sponsors if you would allow us to use the money that you have granted us to: refund the Circus Factory, which was supposed to welcome the show; use the rest to prepare as soon as possible our next show.
Furthermore, we would be more than happy to offer tickets for the next showing to thank you for supporting us from the beginning.

Morning folks.

Quick update regarding the November 2nd performance of Alternative Echoes Theatre's debut production, "Eventually: A Punk Fairy Tale".

The performance will be followed by a questions and answers session with the writer-director, cast, musical artists and choreographer.

Also, tickets will be available in the next day or two. All details will be posted online as soon as that is done.

"Eventually" is a punk fairytale about personal freedom and wildness. The story is set largely in a psychiatric hospital and revolves around the arrival of a new patient, named Iggy. Iggy claims to be a god (the god of music no less!) who has arrived on Earth to reunite with his long lost love, the goddess of sexual desire and freedom. On arriving in the hospital Iggy becomes convinced that one of the hospital's nurses, Ellie, is his love. The story explores the effect that Iggy's arrival has on Ellie, his fellow patients - Sheena, Otto, Johnny, Ravi and Freddie as well as the hospital's two psychiatrists, Milos and Malcolm.

A few seconds from last night's rehearsal, our third, for my new play, "Eventually". I wrote "Eventually" specifically for this remarkable group of performers for what is as far as I know is Cork's only theatre company that is devoted to migrant performers, Alternative Echoes Theatre.

The concept for the company stemmed from my core belief in the principles of equality, representation and diversity but the project has gone even beyond that to being what is basically a family working together.

We have set up crowdfunding so as we can proceed to the next step of our aims and we are asking that people donate if they can and if they can't do that to share the campaign.

We are all putting our hearts and souls into the project and I feel very strongly about people seeing what the lads can do.

Welcome to the world of Alternative Echoes Theatre. We are an international theatre company based in Cork city that was set up to provide a basis with which migrant performers here in Ireland could create and present creative theatre work to the public.

We are currently working on our debut production, an original piece called "Eventually", a punk fairytale about personal freedom and wildness.
