Here's something to brighten up your week on this lovely Wednesday morning.

We understand all too well that music lovers at large are missing their regular trips to their local live-music venue. With this in mind, here is something to keep you going; a fantastic project that we're proud to be a part of.

In celebration of the release of his brand new, Paul Weller-produced album Arrivals, award-winning Irish singer-songwriter Declan O'Rourke has teamed up with Irish Arts Center New York, Moment House and Lobby Promotions to bring you his first live concert since 2019, in a global live-streamed event from Ireland’s National Abbey Theatre on Wednesday 14 April at 8pm BST.

Declan will be joined by very special guests, and will play a collection of songs from his new Arrivals album, out on April 9.

Lobby Promotions stage quality, original live music events in Cork and beyond and is operated by Pat Conway, who has over 25 years experience in the music industry.

From 1988 to 2006, Pat managed and curated The Lobby Bar live music venue at Union Quay, Cork. It became nationally known as a premium location for quality, live original music. During this period, Pat programmed four weekly club nights in The Half Moon Theatre at Cork Opera House for 10 years. He also promoted standalone shows at venues such as Cork Opera House, Cork City Hall and Everyman Palace Theatre, and was involved in event management as MCD's regional representative for Munster. From 2007 to 2014, Pat was a partner at The Pavilion, Carey’s Lane, Cork, where many live original concerts were staged on a regular basis.

This July 2019 sees Lobby Promotions return with a series of gigs at the Goldie Chapel, located at historic Nano Nagle Place.
