It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce that Footdreams Performing Arts will run its final classes on Saturday 1st July.
We, the family of Tracey share the heartbreak of every person that this closure has impacted ,this decision has been very tough on us as a family. Footdreams has been a part of all our lives together. Tracey’s dream was founded in 2005 with the help of her husband Dave, her parents Timmy & Christine, sister Linda and brother Stephen. Lexi was born into the school in 2007 and took her first class at the tender age of 2 weeks and like Footdreams, she has blossomed due to Traceys guidance and training. As Footdreams grew so did Tracey’s family, with Lennon arriving in 2010. With the creativity of his drama and musical teachers, Lennon’s witty personality and talent has been formed. Tracey’s creative vision sprang into action in 2020 after the birth of her baby girl, Mabel May at a time when kids weren’t allowed interact due to the pandemic, which inspired a class for toddlers to socialise and develop their cognitive abilities through Dance, this created her “Dance with me“ class. It breaks our hearts that Mabel May will not have the opportunity of growing up within the studio like her brother and sister, but although young, she already shows the same characteristics as Tracey, such as determination and creative mind.
Footdreams Performing Arts was the dream of our beautiful, and courageous leader and friend, Tracey. Her dream was to create, educate and inspire young minds to love dance and the arts as much as she did. She put her heart and soul into 17 years of Footdreams and her legacy lives on in her children and all the students she taught over the years. We are so grateful to have received numerous messages of support and thanks. One of our students’ mothers, Devina Seward O’Hagan put it so beautifully recently in a message:
“Her love of children and kindness, patience towards them, you couldn't bottle it! Every child was so happy, kids knew where they stood with her, she gave so many children stability , sense of courage and you can do it attitude 💪..only this evening we had Isabelle’s graduation and Cecelia quoted what Ms Tracey told her - don't worry about the stage, pretend it's a rehearsal 🥰...the impression and self believe she built in kids, she was amazing
This is just one of many stories that you may all have about Tracey and Footdreams. We would love to hear these stories so please feel free to share them and any pictures that you may have.
A massive thank you to all the students and parents who supported her dream over the years. Thank you to all the staff who helped to make Tracey’s' dreams come true and have supported us through this difficult time.
Tracey is missed each and every day, but she will live in our hearts forever.
"See it in your head, hold it in your hands"
Yours in dance,
Tracey’s Family💜
