Hi all. I want to say a huge thanks to all of you who left well wishes on here.
I was blown away by the amount of people who reached out ♥️

As I said already the healing process for Shingles is very slow. Made even slower by the immune suppression drugs I'm taking as part of my Kidney Transplant medication regime. The neurological pain is constant making my skin sensitive to touch. The cocktail of painkillers are keeping that mostly at bay but making me sleep around the clock.Overall a right pain in the hole! 🤣🙃🤣

However, I do feel small improvements every day and I think today is the start of the end 🤞🏻.

Sandra has been absolutely amazing through all of this, as she always is.
I can honestly say that when I met her 39 years ago, I was blessed 🙏♥️

I've had to cancel some gigs over the last few weeks but I'm hoping to get back to it ASAP.

So? Thank you all so much and I'll catch you at a gig very soon.

To all you guitar players out there. I have a used one of these for sale. I'm scaling stuff down so this is now bigger than I need.
It's in great condition with a soft case.

I haven't been on here properly for almost a week, and for good reason.

Last Saturday I woke to see a strange risen rash on my hand. Between my fingers etc. Anyway, I played the gig in Fordes Bar that night. It was a bit painful to play the guitar but I got the job done.

Sunday my hand was worse. I now also had pain shooting down my arm and across the right side of my chest so i went to a pharmacy. They took one look and said one word that no transplant patient on immune suppression drugs wants to hear. "Shingles".

So? Straight to the ER at CUH.
I won't bore you with the details of this only to say that they were absolutely brilliant there.

After less than 24hrs I got a bed in my "medical home", the Renal and Cardiac Unit 4c.

No time was wasted in minimising my discomfort both physically and mentally.
A specialist Renal nurse Phil was at the end of the phone (if not in person) for me to explain my new medication and treatment.
I was getting really frustrated because the process of care and healing from Shingles was like nothing I was used to. So her support was a life and mind saver.

Francis from the pain management clinic at Marymount came to assist. (I attend there for ankle, back and shoulder tendinitis pain). Again making everything run smooth.
The Renal team were their usual magical selves in overseeing care and treatment. The nurses on ward 4c are incredible (as are all nurses I've ever met) so all in all I was in the presence of "Angels" once again.

The recovery period for Shingles is slower and longer than I would normally experience with UTI's etc so I'll be resting and letting the medications do their thing for a week or so.

Sandra collected me from CUH yesterday and now is all the people I've mentioned rolled in to one, as always ###

I've known Ronan for many years. He's such a great human being. As an Entertainer, I've watched him go from Glass collector to now being one of Corks most successful and respected business people.

Anything I've ever seen him do, he has done with conviction, passion and humility, going from strength to strength. I wish him many more years of success and strength.

These photos are amazing.
The "stand out" for me is seeing todays generation of Entertainers and musicians. I know most of those in the photos and they are incredible. The Cork Entertainment Scene is alive, well, thriving and in great hands.

I hope these "young bucks" get to experience some of the amazing things that I have in my 40+ years career (so far). They truly deserve to...and more.

GA stands for grand auditorium which is a guitar shape/size/design attributed to Taylor.

I've been following .P. Cormier for a while. I always find his videos interesting, insightful and honest.

This one is about the latest "Business" decision from Fender. Hsienmo get a mention.
