NOTICE:
Unfortunately we must announce for the second year in a row that we will be forced to cancel Scrobarnach. It has been brought to our attention last minute that the site is not up to fire code despite two years of information to the contrary by the land owner. We have been working to fix the situation the past week but to no avail.
We have been planning this year's event since early January, meetings guards and other authorities with all parties including land owner to give ample time and have all paperwork in. Last minute we were contacted by local authorities regarding discrepancies in fire regulation on site over the last number of years. As there was no licencing in place to work off of with fire officers decision a whole new application was needed, this led to the discovery the site was not up to code by a number of years and would need a big investment and time to get the site certified. We had a very special event planned this time around with a lot of people now unfortunately going to lose out.
We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience and will have all tickets refunded within the next 3 - 4 weeks, weekly batches. Refunds will be issued firstly to those who bought tickets first.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the end of Scrobarnach as the losses over the past two years has been huge along with losses each year previous, it is no longer feasible to continue running an independent festival.
To all those who had planned on taking part / helping out we Thank you and apologise for the change in plans and hope it doesn't cause to much hassle to people.
We would also like to thank the local Guards for working with us on this event and all the assistance they provided.
