JACAL Productions

JACAL Productions We create Film and Theatre. JACAL aim to create new and original short films and theatre.

JACAL Productions was founded in late 2012 by Theatre Performance students, Jillian Ryan, Aoife Clarke, Colm Farrell, Adam Drake and Liam Murphy, under the guidance of Jon Whitty at Coláiste Siofáin Naofa. Laura Fitton, Ian O'Driscoll, Barry Corcoran, Aisling McCarthy, Sarah Giltinan, Siobhán Ward and Danielle Hayes have since joined the group, allowing our ensemble to grow and expand. Already JAC

AL have created Tags On Toes, FRIEND, Don't Think About Elephants, Seasonal, The Path and 7 Shades Of Dan. These six films were showcased in college as part of the Short Film Festival "Short Shorts" and were well received by the audience. JACAL, encouraged by the good feedback, stepped away from the college environment, and produced the short play Ruby Of Elsinore as part of the Lunch Time Theatre Programme at Cork Arts Theatre. Currently JACAL have a short film The Mantle in post production and are in the process of writing and creating a new original theatre piece.
