Public events calendar: https://civictrusthouse.ie/events/ This beautiful building at 50 Pope's Quay, Cork is residence to 9 professional arts organisations thanks to the support of Cork City Council Arts Office. We also have a number of arts workers hotdesking in a shared space. The building provides office space, shared resources and a creative space where ideas and knowl

edge can flow freely. Here a large slice of Cork's thriving cultural scene is conceived, planned and delivered in a friendly and energetic atmosphere. 3 of the city's major festivals are run from Civic Trust House as well as production and resource companies. We have a beautiful boardroom available which can be rented at very reasonable rates, and also provide printing and copying at cost price for arts workers.

Big deal round here with no cars allowed to park on the quay and security everywhere the last couple of days, for "some movie" apparently. Anyone know if Brad Pitt is in Pope's Quay today?!

Today we were inspired to officially welcome our inauguaral artist in residence, Cónal Creedon, to the house ...to open our first ever exhibition!

Immersed/Tuatha by Kelly Salchow MacArthur is a true breath of fresh air, gently bringing visitors into the depths of local waterscapes. (Do come in for a dip yourself dear reader!) We were treated to an interesting panel discussion with guest Maria Kirrane UCC's Head of Sustainability, thoughtfully led by curator Diarmuid de Brun, around the reciprocal sustenance by nature of ourselves and art's place in helping us encounter and value nature. Thank you to Diarmuid and OneSpaceCulture for bringing us this lovely exhibition - we look forward to more in the future.

We are proud to have this new special association with Cónal as artist in residence, his insightful understanding of our locality, warm and supportive nature and ability to tease light words out of deep thoughts will be a wonderful resource to us. Thank you to Cork Arts and Cork City Council for making this new residency possible.
