Lost Identities grow from an encounter with remnants of structures, discarded materials and surfaces marked by time.

Carrying traces of their former lives, these materials enter new relationships, losing their familiar identities and acquiring new possibilities.

I want to say a special thanks to Farbod Hamedi for the sound track created for this installation.

The world is such a small place when it comes to connecting through creativity.

WORK IN PROGRESS — Lost Identities

The first installation is taking shape.

Built from reclaimed materials, Lost Identities is part of a new body of work developed during my residency in Chengdu for the NY20+ International Art Festival.

Through this body of work I'm exploring what happens to things when their original task is lost and what can emerge through dismantling, reassembling and giving them a new form.

Still building, still discovering, still figuring it out.

A little taste of what the neighbourhood around 水岸花园 (Shui’an Garden) has to offer after dinner.

It was genuinely uplifting to see so much everyday social life happening right outside.

And yes… I joined the ladies for their evening exercise. 💃🏻😄
