Two red-letter days for this epic series!
On Sunday 15 March 2026, the series will arrive at its mid-point: 55 symphonies and 25 concerts!
But, before that, on Sunday 25 January 2026 (3:30-4:30 in the CSM's Curtis Auditorium), there will be the very rare opportunity to hear his Sinfonia concertante (which, according to the catalogue of his works, is his Symphony No. 105), alongside his Symphony No. 75. This work (which predates his last six symphonies (Nos 99-104) is not simply a “concerto” for four instruments accompanied by an orchestra because the soloists play almost continuously and Haydn weaves the most subtle and varied textures throughout. We are privileged to have four stunning soloists join us: Elizabeth Cooney (violin), Aoife Nic Athlaoich (cello), Ben Gannon (oboe), and John Leonard (bassoon).
Because we anticipate a large attendance, to be sure of getting a seat please email [email protected] to make your reservations.
Still no price increase since the series started in January 2020: €10 (€5 for full-time students, and those bringing children only pay for one).
