🖤 WHY MY PIERCING TRAINING IS DIFFERENT 🖤
For me, piercing education shouldn’t end the moment you receive your certificate.
I’ve trained many piercers through the traditional apprenticeship model, and there are parts I still strongly believe in: mentorship, shadowing, continued development and learning alongside an experienced piercer.
What I don’t believe is necessary is months, or even years, of unpaid or underpaid scivvy work just to earn the opportunity to learn.
I was lucky enough to get my foot in the door of a studio at 16. Although I was underpaid, it gave me the opportunity to build the career I have today, but that route simply isn’t realistic or accessible for everyone.
So I’ve taken the parts of traditional apprenticeships I truly value and built them into the way I train today. 🖤
Your initial training with me is the beginning of the mentorship, not the end.
Every beginner student is expected to engage in at least 3 months of continued support. I want to see your work and how your piercings are developing and healing. I want you asking questions and allowing me to guide you as you gain experience.
That support is often extended when I see students actively engaging and continuing to upskill.
Students are also invited to shadow me, and I encourage piercing days alongside me to gain further hands-on experience and education.
Your initial training gives you strong foundations, continued development is what builds you into a great piercer.
Every client brings different anatomy, challenges and opportunities to learn. That’s why mentorship and continued education are so important to me.
My advanced courses are always 1:1 and only offered once a student has reached the knowledge and skill level needed to progress safely.
For me, it’s never been about simply handing out certificates.
It’s about developing safe, knowledgeable and confident piercers and continuing to support them as they grow. 🖤✨
