🏆 Best Programme

We were also honoured to receive runner-up recognition in several categories:

To see Hadestown celebrated in this way is a testament to the extraordinary talent, commitment, and hard work of every member of our cast, crew, orchestra, production team, and volunteers. This show was a labour of love from the very beginning, and we couldn’t be prouder of what was achieved both on and off the stage.

Thank you to AIMS for this incredible recognition, and congratulations to all the nominees and winners. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us on the journey to the Underworld and helped bring this beautiful story to life.

✨🎭 The day has finally arrived… AIMS Weekend is here! 🎭✨

As we make our way to Killarney, we want to take a moment to wish all of our neighbouring Tipperary societies the very best of luck this weekend.

What an incredible representation Tipperary has at the AIMS Awards this year. The talent, creativity, dedication, and hard work being recognised across the county is something we can all be immensely proud of.

While we may find ourselves competing in some categories, community theatre has always been about supporting one another, celebrating each other’s successes, and recognising the countless hours that go into bringing productions to life.

We know firsthand the commitment it takes from performers, musicians, production teams, volunteers, committees, and supporters to create memorable theatre, and every nomination is a reflection of that dedication.

To all our friends across Tipperary, congratulations on your nominations and achievements. We will be cheering you on throughout the weekend and look forward to celebrating everything that makes musical theatre in our county so special.

Safe travels to everyone heading to Killarney, enjoy every moment, and best of luck from all of us at Bellvue! ❤️🎭

Here’s to a fantastic AIMS weekend and a wonderful celebration of amateur musical theatre.

✨ AIMS Countdown – 1 Day to Go & 7 Nominations to Celebrate! ✨

Today, we celebrate the nomination that represents every person who played a part in bringing Hadestown to life — our nomination for Best Overall Show.

This nomination belongs to an entire company.

It belongs to every cast member who poured their heart into every rehearsal and performance. It belongs to our musicians, who brought Anaïs Mitchell’s extraordinary score to life night after night. It belongs to our production team, costume, props, crew, volunteers, parents, and supporters who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the impossible possible.

When we set out to stage the Irish premiere of Hadestown, we knew we were taking on one of the most ambitious projects in Bellvue’s history. We challenged ourselves creatively, technically, and artistically. We transformed a school hall into the world of gods, workers, lovers, and dreamers. We built a rotating stage, descended into the Underworld, brought our band on stage, and created a theatrical experience that immersed audiences from the moment they entered the room.

The commitment shown by every single person involved are what made this production so extraordinary.

To receive a nomination for Best Overall Show is the ultimate recognition of a collective effort. It acknowledges not one performance, one department, or one moment, but every person who contributed to the production and the standard of work achieved by the company as a whole.

Whether you performed on stage, played in the band, worked backstage, helped front of house, volunteered your time, or supported from the audience, this nomination belongs to you too.

We are incredibly proud of what was achieved with Hadestown and honoured that it has been recognised by AIMS.

Whatever happens in Killarney, this company has already achieved something very special.

Congratulations to every member of the Bellvue family. This nomination is for all of us. ❤️🎭✨

✨ AIMS Countdown – 2 Days to Go & 7 Nominations to Celebrate! ✨

Today, we’re celebrating our nominated Musical Director, Niall Kelly.

Niall officially joined the Bellvue family three years ago for Les Misérables — although he’s been part of Bellvue for much longer than that as Lisa’s husband! His appointment as Musical Director simply made official what many of us already knew.

From day one, his talent, professionalism, and dedication made a huge impact on our productions. Last year, his outstanding work on West Side Story earned him the AIMS Award for Best Musical Director.

As if that wasn’t enough, Niall decided to raise the bar yet again for Hadestown.

As always, he led his incredible band with class, skill, and respect, bringing Anaïs Mitchell’s stunning score to life night after night. But this year, he put down the baton and picked up the trombone to conduct and play, becoming part of the performance itself.

Throughout the show, audiences were treated to some of the coolest, most soulful, and haunting musical moments as Niall performed live on stage. The man has talent — and plenty of it.

Then came another challenge. The entire band was brought on stage as part of the production itself. Suddenly, they weren’t just musicians accompanying the action — they became part of the storytelling. It pushed both Niall and the band well beyond the comfort zone of the orchestra pit, but they embraced it wholeheartedly.

And of course, we can’t forget the rumours that started circulating during the run… there were whispers that Niall might even be in line for a Best Choreography nomination after some particularly stylish moves while dancing with Persephone! We’re not sure AIMS has a category for that, but if they did, he’d certainly be in contention. 🕺🏼🪊

Congratulations, Niall, on this well-deserved nomination. We are incredibly proud to have you as part of the Bellvue family and can’t wait to cheer you on in Killarney! 🎭✨
