Wow, what a fantastic two nights of shows we have had!! It has been a really special weekend ✨
We are bursting with pride, to every single student that took to the stage over the last two nights, you were all amazing 🌟❤️
From the Pre-schoolers to our beautiful leavers, you all danced so beautifully and all of the hard work these last few months certainly paid off!! It is truly special as teachers to see each and every student take to the stage and to see the progress they have made ✨
Aisling, Abigail, Áine, Anna, Anastasia, Clodagh, Lucy, Moya, Robyn & Zoe to watch you grow up has been our privilege and we have made such special memories along the way💕
We feel so lucky to have been a part of your journey and we will really miss you all💗
This show would not be possible without all of the help we receive, the backstage helpers, our amazing past pupils who come back every year to help , everyone involved in the costumes, the Senior girls who help with our younger classes and anyone who has helped us in any way, we are so grateful for you.
Thank you also for the kind messages and beautiful gifts we have received.
Thank you so much to all of the parents for your support throughout the year, we hope you all have a wonderful summer ☀️💛
Lots of love,
Alison & Jess

Our next Leaver of 2026 is Zoe O’ Gorman who has been a student at the school for over 15 years. As Zoe prepares for her final show with us, she has written about what Dance means to her and the time she has spent at the school 💕 :

“I began dancing at the Alison Cronin Dance Academy when I was 3 years old. After 15 years it’s hard to believe my final show will be this June. Over the years, I’ve shared countless memories with an amazing group of girls who are like a second family to me. I will always cherish the magical moments we shared at long rehearsals, exciting performances and trips away together. Dance has taught me so much beyond technique and choreography. I’ve learned the importance of perseverance, teamwork and believing in myself. I cannot thank Alison and Jess enough for making my experience in the studio so special over the years. As my time dancing in the studio comes to an end, I know that the memories I’ve made and the lessons I’ve learned will be carried with me forever and wherever life takes me.”

Our next Leaver of 2026 is Moya Campbell, who began dancing with us at 4 years of age. Before her final show with us, Moya reflects on her time at the school and what dance has meant to her over the past 15 years 💕:

“I’ve been dancing with the Alison Cronin Dance Academy for the past 15 years. I started Ballet when I was four and I have since attended countless Ballet and Contemporary classes, where I have learned so much about dance and also dedication and friendship. Alison and Jess always encourage students to mirror their own dedication and energy and I think this shows in everything that we do! Dancing has taught me to persevere and to work hard and I always have enjoyed the challenge of it. I’ve made so many memories in classes, rehearsals and shows-you always leave dancing in a better mood than before! It’s always great to have dancing to look forward to and it is such an escape from school and exams. I’m also very lucky to have made so many great life-long friends through dancing. Now that I’m leaving I’m certain that I will miss all of the classes and shows particularly our chats on a Saturday at Ballet in Carrick!!”

Our next Leaver of 2026 is Robyn McCarthy who has been a student at the school since she was 3 years of age.
Here are some words from Robyn about her time at the school and what dance means to her 💕 :

“It’s been 15 years since I first walked through the doors of Alison Cronin dance academy. 15 years might sound like a long time, but it has quickly slipped away in a blur of music, memories movement and love. The values I have gained from ballet and contemporary goes far beyond just technique and skill. Dance has thought me discipline, resilience, how rewarding hard work is and the importance of consistency. All of which I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
Dance has always been my escape, but especially the last few months with the stress of 6th year it truly has become e a crucial element of my routine. The friendships I have formed here will forever hold a special place in my heart, in the studio you get to know people in a very real way through both the hard work and the laughter in between.
Most of all, I would like to thank Alison and Jess. You believed in me even when I doubted myself, helping me grow not only as a dancer but as a person. Your dedication and consistency is inspiring. Although sadness lingers as my time here comes to an end, I have been given a passion for dance that I will continue to pursue through the next few years and I am forever grateful of that.”
