All Saints Heritage Centre and West Ink Society of Artist Printmakers welcomes you to Clónna, a delightfully varied exhibition of fine art prints. What better way to spend a long weekend than by soaking up the exciting and though provoking work of a talented field of local artists?
The artists’ employ a variety of techniques, including lino- and woodcut, etching, aquatint, dry point, mezzotint, collagraph, and mono-print. Based in the print room at Custom House Studios & Gallery, Westport, the group includes artists Breda Burns, Michelle Courtney, Áine Gallagher, V. R. Gibbons, Claire Griffin, Bruce Mathieson, Caroline Masterson, Ann O'Mahony, Owen Piffaretti, Susie Quinn, Benita Stoney, and Sinead Wall. Clónna, showcases the possibility of print, including the sculptural works of artist Breda Burns and a scroll by Prof. V. R. Gibbons.

Step into the world of printmaking with the West Ink Society of Artist Printmakers at the opening reception for “Clónna” . ASHC welcomes the diverse artists who have hung an array of stunning prints for you to explore. Connect with artists, explore their techniques, and find beautiful artworks to call your own.
Clónna is an exhibition showcasing the diversity of work produced by West Ink Society of Artist Printmakers. The society was formed under the auspices of Professor V. R. Gibbons to promote and support printmaking in Mayo and they are based in the print room at Custom House Studios & Gallery, Westport. There are twelve of us: Breda Burns, Michelle Courtney, Áine Gallagher, V. R. Gibbons, Claire Griffin, Bruce Mathieson, Ann O'Mahony, Caroline Masterson, Owen Piffaretti, Susie Quinn, Benita Stoney, and Sinead Wall. We work in a diversity of styles, and employ a variety of techniques, including lino- and woodcut, etching, aquatint, drypoint, mezzotint, collagraph, and monoprint. Inspiration for the work comes from a varied range of sources, including the natural world, family, beliefs, folklore and memory.

West Ink Society of Artist Printmakers hail from a diverse range of backgrounds. Each artist explores their own topic of interest, bringing a unique voice to their collective shows. Conceptual works bring focus to and capture expressions that linger beneath the surface of humanity and stand in contrast to the surface imagery of landscape and portrait. The artists exhibiting in this show are Bruce Kenton Mathieson, Breda Burns, Prof. V. R. Gibbons, Benita Stoney, Caroline Masterson, Áine Gallagher, Claire Griffin, Michelle Healy, Owen Piffaretti, Susie Quinn and Sinead Wall.

Come listen to the powerful voices of the renowned IGNITE Gospel Choir on 22 June at All Saints Heritage Centre in Clonbur. The IGNITE Gospel Choir of Galway, Ireland, is a vibrant and soulful musical ensemble that has captivated audiences with their awe-inspiring performances and uplifting melodies. Founded in 2010, this talented group of singers and musicians has quickly gained a reputation as one of Ireland's premier gospel choirs.

Delve into the world of printmaking at the All Saints Heritage Centre, Clonbur, with artworks that speak to both the eye and the soul. We welcome the artists from West Ink Society who are excited to share their passion for fine art printmaking with you!
The exhibit Clónna includes work created using the intaglio method of print making: ink pressed into grooves cut in a plate. Each artist brings their own skills and intentions to the process using a range of techniques including line etching, aquatint, sugar lift, spit bite, mezzotint, dry point and collagraph. This show includes work by artists Bruce Kenton Mathieson, Breda Burns, Prof. V. R. Gibbons, Benita Stoney, Caroline Masterson, Áine Gallagher, Claire Griffin, Michelle Healy, Owen Piffaretti, Susie Quinn and Sinead Wall.
Enjoy a blend of traditional and innovative printmaking techniques and take home a piece of fine art printmaking to savour for many years to come.
