SPOKE YOKES - TALES AND TUNES FROM OUR AROUND THE WORLD CYCLE-
DeBarras Folk Club - Sunday 18th October- Early Doors- 2pm

Mark Graham and Ellie O ‘Byrne have been giving talks, playing tunes and reading from their book-in-progress as they’ve cycled along the road for the last 20 months circumnavigating the World. Along the way they have hosted events in the Irish Embassy in Singapore, the St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Seattle, an Irish centre in New York, a bar in Boston, and a junior infants class in Thailand. So they thought that while making their way home it would be a perfect excuse to line up some more events and raise some more money for a good cause! They will arrive in DeBarra’s Clonakilty on Sunday 18th October and host a free event in the Folk Club where they will read from their soon to be published book and tell stories and field questions from their epic trip!

Irish comedian Bernard Casey returns to DeBarra’s with his new book ‘Local Gossip: Tall tales and short stories from over the road’ a book of comedy short stories based on his popular online sketch characters Gossip & Nephew.

The evening will see Bernard perform a full stand up show followed by a reading from his book and culminating in a Q & A with the author and very special guest host (TBA) – Books will be also be available for purchase on the night followed by a signing by the author.
