We are a group of postgraduate students from IADT in Dublin undertaking a cultural map about and for the residents of Clogherhead. The purpose of the Cultural Map is to identify the village’s cultural heritage, what is available in terms of Arts and Culture and what people would like to see developed for the community.

Feel free to come in with your friends and families on Wednesday 22nd February between 10.30-12.30pm or 1.30-3.30pm to the Meeting Room at Clogherhead’s Community Hall to tell us about what you think is culturally distinctive about your area. Tea, coffee and buns compliments of the group! The Cultural Map of Clogherhead will be presented back to the community in March/April.

Hey everyone, get down to Clogherhead beach this Sunday 30th June for the annual Integral Seaside 10K run. Registration on the day or online @ www.runireland.com 10K start time 3pm sharp . Lots of family fun on the day with a kids fun run at 1pm, Ronald Mc Donald Magic Show at 1:30pm, Sand Castle Competition @ 3pm, Scavenger Hunt @ 4pm and a colourful balloon release @ 5pm. All accompanied with a live band performance by “The Enemies”. The very best of luck to all participants this Sunday.

Hi folks, if there is anyone out there wishing to get involved in helping out with the Clogherhead Seaside 10K please let us know....:) We are looking for volunteer teams of 2 or 4 people to donate a couple of hours any time this Wednesday to deliver road closure information for the 10 km run on Sunday, July 1st. Leaflet drop in mailboxes in estates around village and along 10km run route . If you could spare some time,round up a few helpers, and reply to me ASAP it would be a huge help, and much appreciated. Thanks everybody........:)

CLOGHERHEAD PRAWN FESTIVAL POSTPONED...!!
In recent weeks the Clogherhead Prawn Festival Society has decided to follow suit with other festivals and postpone our festival for this year. We are sincerely sorry for all you festival diehards who will miss the festival this year, but the majority of our team are unable to commit and must concentrate on other commitments this year. The Clogherhead Prawn Festival however will continue to operate other events this year including the “Clogherhead Seaside 10k” in association with Integral Gym Drogheda, please keep posted for updates. We hope all of our supporters from the past two years will have a safe and enjoyable 2012 summer watching the Olympics and cheering on Ireland in Euro 2012, just don’t forget to pay us a visit here in Clogherhead.....:)

Congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s “Rock the Boat” World record breaker at the Clogherhead Prawn Festival which has just been confirmed as a new world record by Guinness.
