This is our final call as you have ONLY 6 days left to submit your application

*Monday 5th of August at 5pm*

A chance for you to be part of a collective exhibition under the theme of "Senses" during the well known Clifden Arts Festival and an honor for us to welcome you!

Here is a little reminder of what you need to do:

Submission Guidelines:

Accepted Mediums:

●Size of submissions is open

●Sculptural, digital and multimedia work is accepted and encouraged

●AI-assisted work must be labelled as such

☆Application Requirements:

Artists are asked to provide the following in PDF or word format:

● Website and/or Instagram account

●Phone number

☆Description of Artwork:

●Maximum 300 words

Concept and relation to the theme

Size of the work, number of pieces, and price

☆Artist’s Statement:

●Maximum 200 words

Outline the artist's practice and background

●Images:

At least 2 and no more than 6 images

●Clearly depict the work

☆Submission Email:
All applications must be sent via email to [email protected]

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

●Artists who already have an exhibition or are part of the Arts Trail cannot be included in this exhibition

●Selected artists will be asked to bring their work to the B&B on a designated date and collect it no later than 2 days after the festival

●Sales made through the Exhibition will be subject to a 20% commission payable to Clifden Arts Festival

●Just a Collective does not accept liability for loss or damage of works. Insurance is the responsibility of the artist

●Artists submitting digital media presentations (audio, video) are responsible for provision and installation of appropriate playing/screening equipment

We invite artists of all mediums to submit their work for an open call campaign that explores the perception of life through the senses.
How do we experience the world around us?
How do our senses shape our understanding of life?

We are seeking pieces that delve into these questions and push the boundaries of sensory perception.
Through visual art, sound, touch, taste, or smell, we want to see how you interpret life through your unique sensory lens.

Just a Collective is delighted to invite artists to apply for entry to our collaboratively designed exhibition. Following last year's success, we look forward to exhibiting again in the beautiful space of The Old Exchange B&B. This year's theme, 'SENSES', invites artists to explore the multifaceted nature of human perception. The senses—sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell—are our primary channels for interacting with the world, each uniquely contributing to our experience and understanding of our surroundings.

Just a Collective is a non profit organisation which was created to bring people together to learn new skills in a creative and non academic way.

Our vision is simple yet powerful, we want to provide a space where everyone can come
to create, make memories and thrive.

Just a Collective hosted market events, with inspirational talks on topics that matter, from social inclusion to the incredible impact of physical activity on the mental health and well-being. "Connemara Notebook," was
an Instagram project that shared stories and experiences of the community through art.

In 2023 our participation in the Clifden Arts Festival hosted an independent art exhibition that brought together 17 emerging local artists. The opening night turned into an unexpected triumph and many artists saw their work find new homes. The feedback from the community was nothing but amazing and felt good to know our efforts are supported.

This year we organised a series of workshops and we have been invited to take part of Clifden Art Festival 2024.
