Over the last month, short-short film submissions have been sent into us here at Eat My Shorts headquarters. Each submission is brief (90 seconds or under) and based around the concept 'brief'. The short film with the most 'likes' at the end of each round will win a pair of tickets to Castlepalooza festival and be screened at the festival. The short film with the most 'likes' overall at the end of
the competition will win VIP tickets to the festival!

Castlepalooza will take place in the woodland wonderland of Charleville Castle, Tullamore, Co. Offaly on the August Bank Holiday weekend (3rd - 5th Aug). Described by the Sunday Business Post as "the best little music festival in Ireland", Castlepalooza plays host to a plethora of amazing Irish and international bands and is headlined this year by The Charlatans. The castle grounds will be home to you and your tent for the weekend while the castle ballroom houses a wealth of free workshops including Poi & Ribbon; Hip Hop; Hula Hoop and Drumming. Also don't miss Dr Sketchy's life drawing classes! And, of course, Eat My Shorts will be taking over Saturday afternoon for shorts, tunes and free popcorn & treats galore! Eat My Shorts is a series of independently run, entirely free short film events. Our focus is to provide a non-competitive platform for emerging and established film makers in an environment that lends itself to community and creative interaction. Since June 2010, we have held independent screenings, totally free & complete with complimentary popcorn, soda and other treats as well as guest screenings at great events like Darklight Film Festival, The Beatyard and Castlepalooza festival. Aside from showcasing great film talent, we’re all about the atmosphere and this has led us to screenings in a huge country ball room, the back of a black cab and soon the top deck of a bus! The entire idea behind Eat My Shorts is to create an accessible platform to promote our local and not-so-local film talent.
