Andrew Baldwin, the creator of B.I.G., the environmentally friendly hard/soft ground, will give a two day course in the Leinster Printmaking studio on Saturday and Sunday 26th and 27th September, 10.00am -4.00pm.
Andrew has been teaching printmaking for over 40 years and has travelled the world demonstrating and promoting safer printmaking techniques which he has developed in his quest to create a greener and more sustainable environment for printmakers. His development of a non-toxic etching ground known as B.I.G. and his associated safer processes including icing sugar aquatints, coffee lifts and photo-etching have now been adopted in educational settings and by artist printmakers in studios around the world.

The first day will be a talk and series of demos showing the possibilities you can get from BIG. The second day will be a hands on workshop. The two days will cost €120 but if you only want to attend the demos on the Saturday it will cost €50. Places limited to 10 on day 2. No limit day 1.
Please confirm your place by email to [email protected].
