As part of Cruinniú na nÓg, we are inviting children and families to create their own “Letters of Imagination”—through words, poems, drawings, or songs.
You can:

📮 Bring your “Letters of Imagination” to Johnston Central Library in Cavan and post them in the special Letters of Imagination post box.

📨 or if you cannot cannot visit in person, you can upload your “Letters of Imagination” imagination Imagination Postbox - Cruinniú na nÓg. https://www.imaginationpostbox.ie/

A selection of letters will be read out on local radio.

Are you an artist with an established arts and health practice? Would you like an opportunity to reflect on your work in health and social care contexts?
The artsandhealth.ie Artist Reflective Bursary is open to individual artists working in any artform in the Republic of Ireland.
This bursary is designed to provide artists with the time and headspace to reflect on and interrogate their participatory practice with health and social care communities.
One bursary award of €2000 will be offered to the successful applicant.

🎈Saturday 16 May – Con Smith Park

10.30am – Dance Connects Conversation (Small Tent)
11am – Set Dancing with Marian Crowe (All ages & abilities)
12pm – Flamenco with Rebeca Sanchez (All ages)

🎈Sunday 17 May
11am – Hip Hop for Kids with Jamie Fagan / Urban Motion (Ages 5–12)

The project is funded by Creative Ireland’s Creative Communities on a Shared Island scheme
(2023-2027) and partners local authorities of Cavan, Monaghan, and Fermanagh-Omagh with
practitioners of diverse dance communities and researchers at Queen’s University Belfast and
University College Dublin.

⭐ New Dance Databases Now Live
The new Dance Venue Database and Dance Artist & Facilitator Database for the Cavan–Monaghan region are now available. Developed by Dr Victoria Durrer (UCD) with regional partners and funded by Creative Ireland’s Shared Island programme, these resources support the Dance Connects in Rural Border Regions project (2024–2026).
Explore venues, artists and facilitators across the region — all in one place.

📣 The Metamorphosis

Corn Mill Theatre are proud to present The Metamorphosis on Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd & Friday 29th May at 8pm. Directed by Oisín Hourican, the cast features actors Connor Sheridan (Moyne), Michele Ciba, Paddy Sheanon, Taragh Donohoe, Connor Sheridan (Bailieborough), Sinead Conefrey & Sarah McGearty.

Synopsis
"As Gregor Samsa Awoke one morning from uneasy dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic Insect..." A gripping look at family loyalty, secret resentments, and what happens when a loved one becomes a burden. A fast-paced, stylish drama that asks the ultimate question: Would you still love me if I was a gigantic dungbeetle?

We are looking for following actors/cast. Those interested will be invited to readings and if suitable will progress from there.

- Grey Man: 40-70yrs
- Hag's Son : 25yrs-45yrs (young, energetic)
- Timmeen: 25yrs-45yrs (male, young, small stature)
- Keerby: 25yrs-45yrs (Male)
- Hag: 45-65yrs (Female)
- Doll: 18-30yrs (Female, Slim stature)
